New York congressional nominee Brad Lander detained by Israeli forces during West Bank olive harvest
Lander was among roughly 90 volunteers, including members of Rabbis for Human Rights, taken to a police station after Israeli forces declared an olive grove near Bethlehem a closed military zone. No formal accusations had been made at the time of reporting. Elections are scheduled for November 3.
