Cookie Policy

Last updated: 08.09.2026

This Cookie Policy explains how [Company Legal Name] ("The Modern", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on [yourdomain] (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They let the site remember your actions and preferences over time. "Session" cookies are deleted when you close your browser; "persistent" cookies remain until they expire or you delete them. Similar technologies include browser local storage, which some features use in the same way.

2. The cookies we use

We use only cookies that are strictly necessary for the Service to work, plus a small number of functional cookies that remember choices you make. We do not use analytics, advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Because of this, we do not display a cookie consent banner; no consent is required for strictly necessary cookies, and the functional cookies below are set only as a direct result of an action you take.

2.3 Third-party cookies

  • Stripe. When you subscribe, you are taken to a checkout page hosted by Stripe on Stripe's own domain. Stripe sets cookies there for fraud prevention and to complete the payment. These are governed by Stripe's cookie policy, not by ours, and are not set on [yourdomain].
  • Newsletter. Our newsletter sign-up form is provided by Intuit Mailchimp. Submitting the form sends your email address to Mailchimp; the form itself does not set tracking cookies on [yourdomain].
  • Embedded content. Articles may occasionally embed content from third parties (for example, a video or a social media post). Those third parties may set their own cookies when the embed loads. We do not control these cookies; please refer to the relevant provider's policy.

3. If we add analytics or advertising in future

If we begin to use analytics, advertising or other non-essential cookies, we will update this policy to list each cookie, its provider, purpose and duration, and, where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent through a cookie banner before setting them.

4. How to manage cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or entirely, and block cookies from particular sites or from all sites. Instructions for common browsers:

Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in, commenting, or purchasing or using a subscription.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example when we add or remove a cookie. We will post the updated policy on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
