UK opens talks on a formal apology for the slave trade
Prime Minister Andy Burnham signed up to structured, time-bound talks with Commonwealth partners at a summit in Antigua and Barbuda. Both he and Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband have ruled out financial reparations.
