More than 400,000 march across France in cost-of-living protests as police make nearly 1,000 arrests
Demonstrators took to the streets in 249 locations over purchasing power, fuel prices and education funding. It was calmer than the previous week, when 2,700 were arrested and retailers reported hundreds of millions of euros in damage.
