Thailand strips its chief rabbi of citizenship for using a US passport
Rabbi Yosef Chaim Kantor, who has led Thailand's Jewish community for more than 30 years, used his US passport 16 times after becoming a naturalised Thai citizen in 2013. The revocation followed October raids on three Jewish organisations in Bangkok, though no criminal findings have been announced.
