Pope Leo XIV becomes first pontiff to vote in a US election
The Vatican confirmed Leo cast a mail-in ballot in Chicago ahead of the 3 November midterms. He had surgery to remove a cancerous tumour from his lung in October, but was discharged in time to submit his vote.
