Seven Ethiopian armed groups, once enemies, unite against Abiy Ahmed's government
The Ethiopian Peoples' Forces Alliance for Survival spans six regions and includes the TPLF and Fano militias, which fought on opposing sides of a civil war that killed around 600,000 people. The coalition says it wants to remove Abiy's government and replace it with a transitional administration, but has set out no timetable or military strategy.
