Hochul removes local prosecutor from Cornell sexual assault case and appoints state attorney general
Governor Kathy Hochul signed an executive order removing the Tompkins County district attorney after Cornell police left the victim's rape allegation out of material sent to prosecutors. Attorney General Letitia James will now lead the investigation and may bring the case to a grand jury.
