US Senate votes to block report on American deaths in the West Bank
The 47-53 vote defeated a resolution by Democrat Chris Van Hollen that would have required the State Department to report on nine American killings and the treatment of Palestinian children in Israeli military detention. Only one Democrat crossed party lines — to vote against it.
