ShinyHunters says it stole up to 3TB of FBI personnel data and demands a retraction
The hacking group claims it exploited a vulnerability in FBI recruitment systems and released a sample covering roughly 5,000 agents and job applicants, partially verified by Reuters and 404 Media. The FBI says it is investigating unauthorised activity on its jobs site but has not confirmed a wider breach.
