Ex-Google safety chief says AI poses greater risk to children than social media
Tom Siegel, who founded Google's trust and safety team, has joined Common Sense Media to lead its Youth AI Safety Institute. He warned that suicide, psychosis and cognitive offloading were among the potential harms, and that companies could not tackle the risks without outside help.
