Oil's 14% September surge puts US inflation forecast at 3.6%
Brent crude climbed sharply through the third quarter, and economists expect energy costs to push September's headline CPI above August's 3.4% rate. Core prices, which strip out food and energy, are forecast to come in far lower at 2.5%.
