Salmonella outbreak from Spanish eggs triggers EU's highest food safety alert
At least 13 people in Spain were infected after eating a contaminated batch of fresh eggs, which has since been pulled from shelves. Eggs from the same batch distributed in Portugal have also been withdrawn.
