Pakistan sends forces to Saudi Arabia without a parliamentary vote
Islamabad agreed to the rapid deployment at an emergency meeting in Riyadh, invoking a joint defence pact with Saudi Arabia and Turkey for the first time. It is a sharp reversal of the restraint parliament imposed in 2015, when it voted to keep Pakistan out of the Saudi-led war in Yemen.
