France to hand over defence files in 46-year-old Italian air disaster inquiry
Italian prosecutors have dropped a request to close the Ustica investigation after France agreed to share military documents with Italian judges. The records may finally answer whether a French fighter jet accidentally shot down the DC-9, killing all 81 people aboard.
