UK minister says EU trade ties worth more than separate free trade deals
Scotland Secretary Douglas Alexander says the EU accounts for almost half of all UK trade — nearly twice the volume traded with the US. He made the argument during a trade delegation to Mumbai, where ministers were also working through early problems in Britain's new deal with India.
