US firms held 351 EU meetings over deforestation law, watchdog says
Mighty Earth says the meetings, held between July 2024 and July 2026, were aimed at weakening and delaying the EU Deforestation Regulation. The law, which bans imports linked to forest clearance, has already been pushed back twice and is now due to take effect in December.
