Macklemore's 'Free Palestine' concerts draw fire over beneficiary group that defended hostage-taking
The sold-out October shows in London, Paris and Dublin will send proceeds to Palestinian organisations, including the Palestinian Youth Movement, whose British branch reportedly defended the taking of hostages in the 7 October 2023 Hamas-led attack on southern Israel. The announcement came after Macklemore was dropped from Ed Sheeran's US tour and pledged his $1 million earnings to Palestinian aid groups.
