UK regulator moves to rein in Microsoft's grip on business software
The Competition and Markets Authority has proposed giving Microsoft strategic market status, which would let it impose new requirements on how the company bundles and sells its products. Around 20 million monthly users in the UK are covered by the proposal, which is due for a final decision by February 2027.
